Five mental health resources for college students

College is a time for personal growth, new experiences and self-discovery, but it can also be stressful as you push yourself and navigate new situations. Anxiety and depression are not unusual to experience during college, and Goshen College has free and confidential counseling services – in-person and virtually – to support you and help you find solutions.

1. Coronavirus Anxiety Workbook

View the Coronavirus Anxiety Workbook, which provides tools and an action plan for dealing with stress and anxiety during a pandemic.

 

2. The MyStrength App

The MyStrength App is a free online tool for students provided through Oaklawn, based in Goshen. It’s easy to sign up and being using:

1. Go to www.mystrength.com/signup or Download the myStrength Mobile App from Google Play or Apple App Stores!

2. Enter Access Code: OaklawnCommunity

3. Complete registration & enjoy the site!

  

3. The Jed Foundation

The Jed Foundation provides mental health and suicide prevention information for college students.

4. The Crisis Text Line

Text HOME to to 741741 to immediately connect with a crisis counselor. They will help you reflect and sort through your feelings by asking questions and actively listening.
